“Psychophysiological assessment adds so much information to any clinical assessment, providing the opportunity to look at and quantify a patient’s baseline values and psychophysiological reactions to different stressful situations, in a way that would be otherwise impossible. Biofeedback is beneficial to me as a clinician because it allows me to show what happens inside the patient’s body to help them learn how to better regulate their responses. Biofeedback supports all the work I do with patients from a CBT approach and learning to auto regulate the autonomic nervous system is key to any other change.”

“Additionally, patients learn quickly how to de-activate and can then use the acquired skills in their daily life, reducing symptoms related to previous autonomic dysregulation and thereby increasing their well-being.”
