About Adriana C. Labarta, PhD, LMHC, NCC, ACS

Adriana C. Labarta, PhD, LMHC, NCC, ACS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. As a licensed mental health counselor, her clinical interests include eating disorders, body image, self-compassion, and multicultural counseling. Her research focuses on culturally responsive and transdiagnostic approaches to treating eating disorders, as well as enhancing eating disorder education and training in graduate programs in the mental health professions. In her roles as an educator, researcher, and clinician, she is committed to bridging research-practice gaps and advancing awareness, education, and advocacy for underserved communities experiencing eating and body image concerns.
